Outfeed Table – A table saw can be made even more useful by constructing an output table in which what you are cutting can extend. An output table supports the wood being cut as it passes beyond the surface of the saw table for cutting allowing more secure and more accurate longer pieces of wood. An exit table is the same height as the table saw and effectively extends the size of the surface the table saw.
Make an accurate measurement of the height of the outfeed table from the ground. Determine how big you want your departure table based on the size of the lumber you normally cut and the space you have available in your store. Place the table saw in your store where it will accommodate the exit table without interfering with the flow of traffic or other store functions.

Cut the top surface of the table out of a piece of MDF, particle board, plywood or laminate. Cut the four legs for your table out of 2 by 2 wood. Make the legs of the same height as the surface of the table, less the thickness of the piece to be cut by the top exit table saw. Cut eight boards that will be used for the table skirt 1 for 4 wood. Make the pieces the same length as the desired distance between the legs of your exit table. After preparation, you can assemble the outfeed table.outfeed table
